RUNAWAYS IN JAIL.

MISSISSIPPI.

WILKINSON COUNTY.

BEN — Belongs to Mrs. Clarissy Davis; black, 5 feet 10 inches high, had common clothes.

WILLIAM –Belongs to Mr. Wilson, of New Orleans; black, 28 years old, 5 feet 8 inches high, very stout, has a pleasant countenance.

BRYANT–Belongs to Mr. Wilson, of New Orleans; black, 28 years old, 5 feet 73/4 inches hight, weighs 170 pounds, has a large broad nose, rather surly when spoken to.

YALLOBUSHA COUNTY.

WILLEY–Belongs to Mr. Levi Davis, near Preston, Miss.; 40 years old, black complexion, 5 feet high, will weigh 145 pounds.

AMITE COUNTY.

JIM–Belongs to Mr. Mc Williams, Thibadeauxville; a griffe, stout made, broad forehead, 26 years old, 5 feet 9 inches high

CLAIBORNE COUNTY.

ALBERT— Belongs to James Flerno, New Orleans; 5 feet 4 inches high, black, good countenance, short built, 21 years old, has a scar about the size of a man’s hand on his right thigh, near the groin.

LOUISIANA.

MADISON PARISH.

GEORGE– Belongs to Samuel Chambliss, near Lake Providence; 5 feet 11 inches high, 28 years old, weighs 180 pounds, no marks discoverable except a small scar upon his forehead.

CUFFEY –Belongs to Wash Griffing, on Bayou Tensas; 5 feet 8 or 9 inches high, 20 years old, very black, weighs 125 or 180 pounds, has a scar upon the right arm, between the elbow and shoulder, caused by a burn.

DAN–Belongs to Mr. Joe Regan, Claiborne county, Miss.; 5 feet 8 inches high, no marks.

In honor of Ben, William, Bryant, Wiley, Jim, Albert, George, Cuffey, and Dan.
